MANAMA, Nov 12 (KUNA) -- Bahrain's Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Khalid bin
Abdullah Al-Khalifa on Tuesday commended Kuwait for hosting the 3rd
African-Arab Summit as "an active" country in supporting Afro-Arab economic
cooperation.
Sheikh Khalid made the remarks during his reception of Kuwaiti Ambassador
to Bahrain Sheikh Azzam Al-Sabah here today.
"Kuwait spearheads in hosting international and regional economic
conferences that target enhancement of economic relations amongst Arab,
regional and international countries", Sheikh Khalid said.
He underlined the significance of the summit conference which is due to be
held in Kuwait on November 19-20, noting that such a gathering represented a
remarkable initiative to achieve sustainable developments for both the Arab
and African regions.
Sheikh Khalid pointed out the deep-rooted relations linking Kuwait and
Bahrain and its dramatic growth at all levels under the wise leadership in the
two countries.
On his part, Sheikh Azzam said Kuwait and Bahrain enjoyed "several common
denominators and history" that helped boost the existing brotherly ties.
