Cookie tips!! One of my favorite activities during the holiday season is gingerbread house baking!! With that I’ve learned some favorite tips (specifically to gingerbread here) I thought I’d share here. What’s your favorite cookie tip?? Hope these help! 1. Avoid transferring. Gingerbread is kind of soft before baking and the sides of the house are large. Peeling is no fun even with all the flour dusting. 2. Cut out shapes on the baking sheet and remove excess. 3. Freezing before the bake helps retain the shape and sharp edges. 4. Microplanes help create those sharp edges if you’re in a pinch! 🧋 Boba tea cake 🧋 I filled this cake with boba 😊.. the tapioca balls harden if you’re serving the next day but it’s yummy if you serve it the day of. Just had to try it! I used two (5.25 and 6.25 inches) acrylic disks for the taper and flipped the cake. I’d also rethink how much buttercream I used if making this again😅 but I made this cake over three years ago and didn’t have as much experience with proportions (though I’m a huge fan of buttercream).
