Many years ago, a Dutch grower imported a unique hosta from its native Japan. With hard work and diligence, the grower was able to produce enough for us to offer this one-of-a-kind hosta to our customers. The grower has no recollection of the original variety's name--our experts believe it might have been Mito No Hana or Anime Tachi--but he called his incredible hybrid Siberian Tiger. We've never seen striping like this in a hosta before, and its unique colouring makes the pattern stand out. The clean green leaves feature narrow, buttery yellow stripes that appear to glow in the daylight. The leaves will become greener as they age. Although a small hosta that grows just 10" tall, Siberian Tiger makes a big impression. You'll want to plant this remarkable creation in a front border or container where everyone can get a close look. Hosta 'Siberian Tiger' | Form: Bareroot | Flowering Time: Midsummer | Light Requirements: Partial Shade - Full Shade | Flower Color: Clean green leaves with buttery yellow stripes. | Flower Form: Bell shaped flowers, white to light lavender colored | Foliage Type: Heart-shaped, pointed leaves. | Growth Rate: Medium | Height: 10 inches | Spread: 16 - 18 inches | Soil Requirements: Tolerant of a wide range of soils, but best in well drained.
