Growing up to 5' tall, its swordlike foliage and tall flower spikes make striking accents in the flower border. They're also very showy cut flowers. To enjoy blooms for many weeks, plant bulbs at two-week intervals from early spring until the end of June. Glads are easy to grow, requiring only full sun and good drainage. Deer tend to pass them by. Lift in the fall in zones 3-7.
