No surprise there, as we’re on the Isle of Skye in northwest Scotland, a locale that’s found on many lists of the most picturesque places on the planet. The Quiraing is also a landslip formed by a huge landslide, and the area continues to shift—imperceptibly to visitors but enough that the road is said to need yearly repairs at its base. The Quiraing is mostly brown and white in colder months, as it appears here, but in more temperate seasons a panoply of green covers the ridges, rock spires, and plateaus. .. See more See less
