How to Manage Deep Links
This article describes how to manage deep links for your site's pages inside Bing Webmaster Tools.
What are Deep Links?
Deep Links are links which appear below a top-ranked search result, exposing additional content within a website:
Accessing the Deep Links tool
Blocking Deep Links
- Enter the URL for the Deep Link to Block. (You can pull this directly from the Search Result Deep Link)
- Optional - Enter the URL of the specific Search Result for which you are applying the block. This is the URL for the top-ranked search result that contains the Deep Link. Leaving this field empty will block the Deep Link for all top-ranked search results.
- Optional - Select a specific Country/Region in which to apply the block. (Defaults to 'All' regions)
- Click Block. (This will apply a Deep Link block for the given criteria. Changes to deep links may not be immediately reflected in search results.)
Managing Existing Blocks
All Deep Link blocks expire 90 days from when they are created. However, users may opt to extend a block for an additional 90 days at any time. To do this, simply select the blocked URL and click Extend Block. (Expired blocks may also be extended in this way)
Any Deep Link block may be removed at any time using the Delete button. Please note that these changes may not be reflected immediately in search results.
Using Export will allow you to download and save a local CSV detailing all recorded deep link blocks for your site.
|Changes to deep links may not be immediately reflected in search results. It may take some time before you see the results of your changes. Also note that we use your input as a hint to improve our search results.|
