Cement truck rolls and spills on I-80
The westbound lanes of Interstate 80 were blocked Friday afternoon after a cement truck rolled west of the Grand Prairie Parkway exit.KCCI’s Tommie Clark was at the scene shortly after it happened. She reports the westbound lanes of I-80 were completely blocked. Some traffic is now flowing in the right lane.The driver was seen walking at the scene and was assumed to be uninjured. Much of the cement inside the truck has spilled onto the roadway and will need to be cleaned up before the interstate can be completely reopened. Authorities at the scene ask that drivers avoid the area as it will take at least a couple of hours to clean up the spill and remove the heavy vehicle.Check the KCCI Breaking News and Weather App for updates on this developing story.
