CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - Every local climate site, including Cleveland and Akron, either tied or broke a record high temperature today.

At one point, we were in the mid 80s in downtown Cleveland!

Along with the heat came the development of numerous showers and thunderstorms.

Any lingering storms will slowly wind down through the overnight hours, after 2:00 AM.

Tomorrow will be yet another beautiful day, but we may begin the day with quite a bit of cloud cover.

Temperatures will warm to near 80 degrees on Friday.

A stray shower or storm cannot be ruled out over the course of the day.
