Caring Heights Community Care & Rehab Center is responding to the latest data released by the Pennsylvania Department of Health, showing an alarming number of COVID-19 infections and deaths. Numbers were released Tuesday, showing 28 deaths in the facility, however, Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Nancy Istenes says in a released statement no coronavirus cases exist inside their facility. “At this time, we have no residents positive for COVID-19. The facility acts in the best interest of its residents to promote their health, safety and welfare. We have and continue to work closely with the Department of Health and follow all necessary guidelines and regulations. Due to HIPAA regulations, we cannot comment on any personal health information," says Dr. Istenes.Gov. We will continue to work to ensure the safety and wellbeing of residents through education, resources and testing.”The data provides the number of cases, number of employee cases and number of deaths that have occurred at each facility.
