COVID-19 reports from some New Mexico labs delayed, 118 cases, 12 deaths announced Sunday

New Mexico state health officials reported 118 new cases of COVID-19 Sunday, and added that a "technical lapse" has delayed reporting from some of the Department of Health’s labs until Monday.

There are now 3,850 reported cases of the novel coronavirus in New Mexico, according to the Department of Health.

Officials also announced 12 new deaths related to the virus, bringing the state total to 151.

As of Sunday, May 3, there are 164 people hospitalized for COVID-19, the Department of Health reported.

Of New Mexico’s total reported cases, 832 are considered recovered by state health officials.
