The 21st annual Black Woods Blizzard Tour netted a record $1.36 million for those battling Lou Gehrig's disease, organizers said.

The three-day snowmobile ride concluded Saturday with a banquet at Cirrus Aircraft in Duluth. Minnesota Twins legends Terry Steinbach, Kent Hrbek and Tim Laudner, along with Detroit Tigers manager Ron Gardenhire, were among the nearly 250 participants.

“The passion and the dedication of the riders that participate in this event year after year is something truly special,” Blizzard Tour board chair David Kolquist said in a statement. “It’s truly incredible the way that riders who have been doing this for two decades come together with riders that are participating for the first time to raise funds dedicated to battling ALS.”

The tour has now raised $12.4 million in its 21 years, officials said.
