Eyenuk has launched its EyeScreen Human + AI Diagnostic Service for diabetic retinopathy, according to a press release.

The artificial intelligence technology connects primary care and diabetes care clinics with eye care specialists to increase access to DR screening, reduce wait times and improve patient compliance in receiving screenings, the release said.

It provides for screenings in a clinic setting, allowing any physician the ability to identify DR sooner and begin treatment faster.

“The EyeScreen Service is our unique take on combining expert human grading with a validated autonomous AI system, allowing users to benefit from the best of both worlds,” Eyenuk CEO Kaushal Solanki said in the release. “We are thrilled to empower physicians with the ability to screen patients in clinic without requiring dilation, for the best chance of early DR detection.”
