Lemont Catholic Saints (Formerly Celtics) Youth Football Continues Registration Invites Players to Free Summer Skills Camp

The Lemont Catholic Saints Youth Football Program (Formerly Celtics) is preparing for the 2016 and remains open for registration.

The Team’s free summer skills and safety camp will be held on Monday July 18 – Friday July 22. All registered players and those who. Those who are interested in the Team are invited to attend without any commitments required.

New this year will be free pre-season baseline concussion testing offered to all registered players, which will be performed by ATI Physical Therapy in Lemont. The Team has instituted new polices to improve safety and adapt to changes in football, and baseline testing is a significant component of the Team’s safety plan.

The Lemont Catholic Saints Youth Football Program (Formerly Celtics) offers a high quality and safe program for Lemont area Catholic School and Religious Education Students. The Team offers instructional developmental levels for 3rd & 4th Graders, which participates in an age appropriate developmental league, and competitive JV (5th & 6th Grade) and Varsity (7th & 8th Grade) Teams that compete in the Catholic Grade School Conference of Chicago (CGSC). Students enrolled at Everest Academy, SS Cyrils & Methodius School or RE, Christ the Servant RE, St. James of the Sag RE, St. Bernard’s RE or St. Alphonsus / St. Patrick School or RE are eligible to play on the Team.

Benefits of the Lemont Catholic Youth Football Program include:

Emphasize teaching the fundamentals of football, safety, character development and having fun in a positive environment.

All Coaches are trained and certified in the NFL sponsored USA Football Heads-Up Football safety and concussion prevention standards and are required to attend training clinics conducted by area high school and college football coaching staffs.

Top of the line safety equipment that is maintained and inspected annually.

Competes in the Catholic Grade School Conference of Chicago (CGSC), which serves as the primary feeder to high quality academic / athletic schools including Lemont, Brother Rice, Marist, Providence, St. Rita, Montini, and Mt. Carmel.

Home Games at Lemont High School Stadium.

Convenient practice times and location at Covington Fields on 127th St. in Lemont.

Indoor practice facilities during inclement weather and fields for scrimmages available at Everest Academy in Lemont.
