Police Find 2 Starving Dogs Abandoned Behind Missouri City Home

Police are searching fort the owner of 2 dogs found starving and without shelter in the back yard of a Missouri City home on Sunday.

MISSOURI CITY, TX β€” Animal cruelty investigators are trying to locate the owner of two dogs that were found starving in the backyard of a home.

The two mixed breed dogs were discovered Sunday afternoon in the 12800 block of Vitry Ln in Missouri City, investigators with the Harris County Pct. 1 Constables Office said.

Investigators said the two dogs were left with nothing to eat drink, and were skinny to the point where their ribs and spinal structure were seen through their coat.

The dogs were taken into the custody of Houston SPCA veterinary staff where they are receiving care, officials said.

Investigators are working to identify the owner, who they believe moved out of the home and abandoned the two dogs.
