EMMET COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- EMGO's brief stay in Emmet County is ending soon.

Emmet County's bus system will make its final trips around the county on Wednesday, December 30.

In August, county commissioners voted to end it at the end of the year after two years of service.

One of the big factors in the decision was low ridership.

The Friendship Center in Petoskey will still offer rides for seniors and those with disabilities.

Straits Regional Ride, which manages EMGO, will keep their existing route that runs from Cheboygan to Petoskey.
