SAN RAFAEL, CA — There were 420 confirmed cases of the coronavirus Tuesday in Marin County. That's an increase of three cases from Monday.

As of Tuesday, the county's death toll still stands at 14, and the number of people hospitalized with the new coronavirus is three.

A total of 52 people have been hospitalized due to the virus since the county's first COVID-19 case was reported on March 8.

To date, the majority of confirmed cases and hospitalizations have been residents 50 or older. All reported coronavirus-related deaths have been residents 65 or older.

A total of 11,796 COVID-19 tests have been conducted in Marin. There have been 269 documented COVID-19 recoveries, according to county data.

The county provides geographic regions for confirmed COVID-19 cases in Marin. The data is broken down to reflect the number of cases in six separate locations: San Rafael, Novato, San Anselmo and Fairfax, West Marin, Central Marin and Southern Marin. Only communities with more than 20,000 people are listed separately on the county's virus data website.

As of Sunday, San Rafael had 197 cases, Novato had 94 cases, San Anselmo and Fairfax had 15 cases, West Marin had less than 10 cases, Central Marin had 46 cases, and Southern Marin had 59 cases.
