Days of '47 KUTV Virtual Pops Concert

(KUTV) — Sterling Poulson is joining us in the Fresh Living studio today!

He is not only our chief meteorologist but also a conductor and music director with the Choral Arts Society of Utah.

We normally put on the Days of '47 Pops Concert every year for the 24th of July, but this year it's going be virtual.

He says they decided to produce a virtual concert, requiring over 100 musicians to record their individual part, whether it was a soprano in the choir or a violinist in the orchestra. After all of the videos were sent in the audio technician, Trevor Price had to line all of the parts up and create the master soundtrack for the concert.

Then the video editor created a collage of all the videos and match that with the master audio track. This required hundreds of hours of video and audio editing to create this 30-45 minute virtual pops concert.

The concert is scheduled to be released on Saturday, July 11th.
