STAC: A Top-Tier Regional University by U.S. News&World Report

STAC ranked as a Top-Tier Regional University and Top Performer for Social Mobility by U.S. News & World Report for 2020

(St. Thomas Aquinas College)

(SPARKILL, NY – September 12, 2019) – For the seventh consecutive year, St. Thomas Aquinas College has been named a Top-Tier Northern Regional University by U.S. News & World Report in their 2020 Best Colleges list. Approximately 1,500 schools were ranked nationwide based on peer ratings and collected survey information.

STAC was also noted in the rankings of Regional Universities in the North as a Top Performer for Social Mobility—a new category added by U.S. News & World Report. Social mobility is measured by the percentage of students who graduated from STAC and received federal Pell Grants (those typically from households whose family incomes are less than $50,000 annually; although most Pell Grant money goes to students with a total family income below $20,000.)

The College’s president, Dr. Margaret M. Fitzpatrick, S.C., Ed.D, commented, "The excellent learning environment built upon the strength and ingenuity of our faculty makes St. Thomas Aquinas College the right place to learn. Our College is a socially responsible institution and humbly celebrates as a top performer for students eligible for federal grants."
