JLS have announced they are putting on a free concert for NHS and frontline staff.

The band will perform a gig at Birmingham Resorts World Arena on November 28 this year.

It will be part of their Beat Again comeback tour, the first live shows they will have peformed together in over seven years.

They announced the news on social media on Monday, writing: "We are adding a free NHS show to our #BeatAgainTour.

"We want to thank the NHS and the frontline hospital staff the best way we know how. This will be a day to celebrate and honour you."

They also shared a video about why they wanted to put on the gig.

JB Gill said: "Hi guys, we wanted to personally thank you, our incredible NHS and healthcare staff, for the work you're tirelessly doing on our frontline in the battle against covid-19."

Marvin Humes continued: "Yes we're gonna be putting on a free special matinée gig for all of the NHS staff and hospital staff at the Resorts World Arena in Birmingham on November 28 just to say thank you in the best way we know how."

"Tickets will be made available Wednesday night at 6pm," Aston Merrygold added.

Oritse Williams went on: "We hope to see as many NHS staff there as possible and we look forward to celebrating all of their incredible hard work personally at that gig."

A valid NHS ID, Primary Care Trust ID card or Emergency Services ID card will be needed to get into the gig.

JLS split in 2013, and were marred by Oritse's rape trial, before he was acquitted of all charges in May 2019.

Since the band's split, J.B has released solo material and now presents a CBeebies show called Down On The Farm.

Marvin hosted The Voice alongside Emma Willis, and now hosts The Hit List on BBC 1 alongside his wife Rochelle Humes.

Oritse won ITV dance show Stepping Out, and released his own single.

Aston released his own single, and competed on Strictly Come Dancing, where he placed tenth.
