SEATTLE (KOMO) -- A 20-year-old man who reportedly told Space Needle security that he crashed his drone into the Space Needle on New Year's Eve in 2016 was charged with reckless endangerment, according a City of Seattle news release.
The incident reportedly happened while the 2016 New Year's Eve fireworks display was being set up at the Space Needle, according to the news release.
The misdemeanor charge has a potential sentence for up to 364 days in jail and up to a $5,000 fine.
The man is set to appear in Seattle Municipal Court on November 22.
