PFLUGERVILLE, TX — Pflugerville City Council members at their special meeting on Thursday voted to reopen the trail at Lake Pflugerville starting early next week.

The date for the opening is Tuesday, May 26. All other amenities, including fishing piers, playground area, pavilion, beach, and lake access will remain closed.

Despite the opening, city officials stress that preventing the spread of the coronavirus is essential as the trail reopens. To that end, trail users are urged to practice social distancing and properly dispose of all trash. "Keeping the trail beautiful also helps keep our community safe," officials noted in an advisory.
