Sammie Lambert
Sammie Dwight Lambert, 74, of Ooltewah, went home to be with the Lord on April 9, 2020, at his home, surrounded by his family.
A native of Michie, Tn., Mr. Lambert was a longtime resident of Hamilton County and was the son of the late Herbert Lambert and Ollie Mae Wilbanks Fisher.
Mr. Lambert was a 40-year retiree of the U.S. Army retiring in 2005 as a Master Sgt.
He was a member of New Haven Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his brother, Donald Lambert; and three sisters, Ruth Rickman, Carolyn Stanley, and Elaine Newcomb.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Sylvia Lambert; three daughters, Vicki (Tom) Pannell, Sale Creek, TN., Lisa (Rick) Rude, Ooltewah,TN, and Karen Brown, Shreveport, LA; grandchildren, Taylor (Austin) Hamilton, Kelly Pannell, Hunter Rude, Parker Brown; great-grandson, Hudson Hamilton; special niece and nephew; Pam (Billy) Brown, Jeff Rickman; along with many other nieces and nephews.
Due to the COVID-19 Health Crisis, the family will have a service for the family only Monday, April 13, at 12:30 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Robbie Jackson officiating. Burial will be in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
