NASHUA — Six men, including a Manchester resident arrested in that city on other charges then turned over to Nashua authorities, have been taken into custody in recent days as part of the department’s Operation Granite Shield program.

Police said members of NPD’s Narcotics Intelligence Division and its Problem Oriented Policing (POP) Unit, along with members of Hudson police, conducted the “coordinated roundups” throughout both communities.

The suspects, their charges and bail status follow. (All suspects except Jason Kenyon were booked and released on personal recognizance bail pending Superior Court arraignment).

In the meantime, police ask anyone who has any additional information on the cases, or general information concerning illegal drug activity in their community, to contact the department’s Narcotics Hotline at 594-3597 or its Crime Line at 589-1665.

Kenyon had been turned over to Nashua authorities following his arrest in Manchester the previous night.

Manchester police said the arrest stemmed from a report of two unresponsive people in a car in the area of 49 Pennacook St.

Responding officers knocked on the windows, which woke up the man and woman inside, police said.

The man, later identified as Kenyon, allegedly gave officers a fake name, but they were able to identify him as Kenyon.

While speaking with Kenyon, police said, officers noticed a knife in the driver’s seat “near the small of Kenyon’s back.”

Learning from dispatchers that Kenyon had an active parole-violation warrant for possession of drugs and being a felon in possession of a dangerous weapon, police said.

Officers were also informed that Nashua police had warrants out for Kenyon’s arrest on charges accusing him of selling drugs, police said.

When the officers attempted to arrest Kenyon, he allegedly pulled away from them “and reached toward the knife,” police said. A struggle ensued, but officers were eventually able to remove Kenyon from the car.

The officers then found a bag of powder, “believed to be heroin,” in Kenyon’s pocket, police said, adding that Kenyon allegedly grabbed the bag with his teeth and swallowed some of the contents.

In addition to the arrest warrants, Manchester officers charged Kenyon with one count each of felon in possession of a deadly weapon; possession of a controlled drug; falsifying evidence; and resisting arrest.

Lee Greenhalgh, age 52, of 5 Berkshire Road, Nashua

He was jailed pending arraignment, which had been scheduled for earlier this week.
