Hip-Hop pioneer “DMC”, founding member of Hall of Fame rap icons Run DMC, will perform in Bahrain next month.
The music icon, whose full name is Darryl McDaniels, will headline a show being staged by event organiser Jam Up on May 8 at Wranglers in the Juffair Grand Hotel.
He will attend a series of events in the run up to the show including a “meet and greet” with fans at Virgin Megastore, City Centre Bahrain, on May 6 at 7pm and will address an audience on May 7 at Malja, Amwaj Islands, after which a mini hip-hop set will be performed by official Run DMC DJ Charlie Chan.
The GDN yesterday reported that DMC will be supported by Bahraini hip-hop artists DJ Outlaw and Flipperachi during the concert on May 8.
A Bahraini band is also being given a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to play alongside the iconic artist. The band will be chosen following open auditions at Room 2 Rock, in Adliya, on Friday.
