GE reaches out to students of Al Manzil School for Special Needs with ‘build a bike’ CSR initiative

As part of its corporate social responsibility commitment, GE along with its channel partners, joined hands and reached out to special needs students at Al Manzil School in Sharjah. 

Al Manzil School is a professional care-giving and learning environment for individuals with special needs to nurture their potential & develop the requisite self-help, social, educational & vocational skills. 

The ‘build a bike’ initiative was held as part of the Energy Management Middle East and Africa Channel Summit held in Dubai. During the three-day event, various channel partners and GE employees worked together on building the bikes. 

Paul Maclean, Channel Management Pole Leader for Europe, Middle East and Africa, for GE Energy Management along with channel partners, presented the bikes to four students of Al Manzil and Dr. Ayesha Saeed Husaini, the school’s manager. 

GE coordinates volunteer efforts company-wide and with its partners by keeping a close eye on societal needs and invites all employees to build stronger communities where the company serves in. GE’s employees volunteer over one million hours of community service every year.
