On Monday, airborne fire crews helped extinguish hot spots and establish containment lines around the blaze, according to Utah Fire Info. Crews will continue mopping up the fire area and will begin rehab efforts Monday, officials said.
The fire was first reported about 1 p.m. Friday and destroyed two cabins and spread 40 acres before crews arrived. Steep, rugged terrain in the area and wind gusts allowed the fire to spread quickly.
The fire has been ruled as human-caused, but the exact cause is still under investigation.
