One dead, another seriously injured after pickup truck crashes into tree in Campbell Co.

State Police say one man is dead and another is seriously injured after a pickup truck crashed into a tree Monday night in Campbell County.
Police say the crash occurred at the 2300 block of Lynbrook Road at 7:30 p.m.
The driver, John F. Lambert Sr. 59, of Evington Va., was flown to Roanoke Memorial Hospital for treatment for serious injuries.
The passenger, John S. Lambert, 38, of Evington, Va. died at the scene. Police say he had been partially ejected from the vehicle upon impact.
The crash remains under investigation by Virginia State Police at this time and charges are pending.
