CHESTER COUNTY, PA — Authorities investigated reports of another explosion in West Goshen on Wednesday night.

As of 9 p.m., the Chester County Department of Emergency Services said they had discovered "no evidence" of an explosion.

There was ample thunder in the region during the night which could have spurred the reports.

The explosion reports came in the area of Nottingham Drive and Wo oded Way.

This comes just a few weeks after a loud boom occurred on Boot Road near Route 202 on Aug. 28. That boom was confirmed; it turned out it was a "PECO-related" equipment problem, according to officials.

Residents and officials have been on high alert for signs of explosions in the area due to the proximity of the Mariner East pipelines and the string of incidents connected to the controversial project.

Neither of these recent explosions — the confirmed one and the unconfirmed one — are connected to the pipeline, officials said.
