Minnesota Duluth has received a verbal commitment from 17-year-old goaltender Holly Gruber of Stevens Point, Wis.
Gruber, a high school senior who won't join the Bulldogs until the fall of 2021, is playing this season with the Pursuit of Excellence Hockey Academy in Kelowna, British Columbia. She previously played with the Northeast Wisconsin Jr. Gamblers Midget AAA boys team, Madison Capitals girls 16U team and the Jr. Gamblers' boys bantams.
Gruber is also in the USA Hockey system, most recently taking part in the Girls U-18 Select Player Development Camp over the summer in St. Cloud.
