Kansas City police said a woman hit by a car Thursday afternoon while trying to cross the street has died from her injuries.Police were called at 3:40 p.m. to Linwood Boulevard and Poplar Avenue.Authorities said Carrie M. Davis, 63, was taken to a hospital, but died after she did not regain consciousness.The driver stayed at the scene and was cooperating with investigators.
