WE EVEN HAVE VISORS. >> LIKE JONAS WILLIA, WHO SELLS MERCHANDISE. >> I’VE BEEN FOLLOWING HIM SINCE HE CAME DOWN THE ESCALATOR. >> THEY ARRIVED EARLY TO SECURE A SPOT, AND WHILE THEY SAY THEY ARE THERE TO SEE THE PRESIDENT, THEY ARE ALSO THERE TO MINGLE. >> THERE IS A GREAT CROWD OF PEOPLE. >> WE WOULDN’T BE HERE AT 4:30 A.M. Some of President Donald Trump's biggest supporters spent the night in line waiting to get into UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena to secure their spot inside when the doors open at 3 p.m. Tuesday. "We upgraded to the tent this year, a little insulation and dryness is key. So I have a feeling we're going to have like 40 people under this tent, as many as we can fit," said Grant Simon, of Naperville, Illinois. People in the line were from all over the country. There were a lot of Wisconsites, but WISN 12 News also spoke to people from North Carolina, New Jersey and several from Illinois.For some, this was their first presidential rally. "We live in Kenosha, Trump's in Milwaukee. It's a short trip, one we could easily make,” said Zach Stock, of Kenosha. "Well, I'm making friends with a lot of great people. We've had some really cool conversations," said Rachael Lawrence, of Cary, Illinois. Others have been to them all, such as Jonas Williams, who sells merchandise at these events."We even got visors. I don't know how good that's going to work here in Wisconsin," said Williams of Greensboro. North Carolina. "I've been following him since he came down the escalator."They arrived early to secure a spot inside, and while they said they are there to see the president, they said they are also there to meet others."There's a great crowd of people here. I've already made friends with a bunch of people," Stock said. "We wouldn't be out here at 4:30 a.m. if this line was not fun. I mean, we walked up, and we were instantly friends with everybody around, so it's a great welcoming crowd. We were all here for the same reasons," Simon said. The first person in line arrived at 4:30 p.m. Monday. Trump is expected to speak at 7 p.m.
