Lee Etta Case Calvert, 59, of Pine Bluff, passed away Friday, September 11, 2020 after a five year battle with cancer. She was born June 14, 1961 in Pine Bluff to the late Herbert B. and Patricia Ann Ritchey Case. Lee Etta was reared and received her education in Pine Bluff, graduating from Pine Bluff High School in 1980, then attended the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. While growing up, her family owned and operated Herbie's Steakhouse and Grill on Ohio Street. Lee Etta had been a member of the Pine Bluff Junior League for six years. She worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Foster for 17 years, before leaving to become a homemaker for ten years for her only child. She attended cosmetology school, where she was named valedictorian and then worked as a cosmetologist at Regis Hair Salon for seven years. Lee Etta enjoyed old movies and flower gardening and landscape architecture. She was very interested in art and antique furniture. Lee Etta was a 59 year member of Olive Branch Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Michael D. Calvert, whom she married in February of 1990 in Pine Bluff; one son, Christopher Michael Lee Calvert, both of Pine Bluff; two sisters, Elizabeth Ann Foster of Little Rock and Deborah Lynn McWha of Fayetteville; nieces, Megan Carpenter of Searcy, Trisha Hobson of Florida, Chloe Schisler of Austin, Texas and Mary McWha of Fayetteville; and nephews, Zachary Calvert and Brockery Calvert, both of Russellville. Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at the chapel of Ralph Robinson and Son with Reverend Todd Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Wesley Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be 1-2 p.m. Tuesday. For those unable to attend, the funeral service will be livestreamed. Memorials in her honor may be made to the American Cancer Society.
