OUR MEDIA PARTNER, LOUISVILLE BUSINESS FIRST, REPORTS RHONDA MITCHELL STEPS INTO THE CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER POSITION LATER THIS MONTH. MITCHELL SAYS A BIG PIECE OF HER WORK WILL BE FOCUSING ON THE NEW NORTON SPORTS HEALTH ATHLETICS & LEARNING COMPLEX. Louisville Urban League announces new leadership
Rhonda Mitchell will be stepping into the chief operating officer position with the Louisville Urban League effective Feb. 17, according to our partners at Louisville Business First.Mitchell, whose background is in finance, joins the nonprofit organization from the managed-care industry. She most recently served as a senior manager of regulatory affairs with WellCare Health Plans. Before that, Mitchell worked for Passport Health Plan, where she served as internal audit director.“I’m looking forward to impacting the community in a positive way,” Mitchell said in an interview. “I think the Urban League does a lot to empower the people in Louisville’s minority community, but also the city as a whole. I’m looking forward to making sure all the good things that need to happen at the Urban League administratively happen so we can move forward and continue to empower the community.”Learn more about this story from Louisville Business First.
