BUFFALO, N.Y. — Top 10 bedding producer Restonic has promoted Julia Rosien to brand director, a new position.

Julia RosienRosien, who has worked in the social media field for several years, joined Restonic in 2013 as brand engineer.

“In a world where a solid digital media strategy — engaging online communities to connect with today’s consumer — is critical, it is vital to have someone on the team who gets it,” said Ron Passaglia, CEO and president of Restonic. “Julia Rosien gets it! Her ability to educate, engage and build relationships with our Restonic brand is of tremendous value to our team.”

Rosien continues to report to Passaglia.

Rosien helps create and execute Restonic’s marketing and communications programs, including public relations, web-based and social media initiatives, event support and brand marketing programs. She also develops and directs content for the consumer-focused, research initiatives for Restonic.

Passaglia said Rosien has helped strengthen the Restonic brand in her two years with the company. She re-engineered the communications structure internally, and was the architect and driver of the company’s digital strategy, which Passaglia described as “very successful.”

According to the company’s analytic tracking, Restonic’s online presence has grown more than 3,000% under Rosien’s direction, Passaglia said.

“As a consumer-centric company, we’re confident that Rosien’s appointment will allow us to continue to deliver high quality marketing programs, branding and customer communication programs to our licensees, retailers and end consumers,” he said. “Rosien is a strong asset to our future growth in all these areas.”

The former president and chair of WithIt, Rosien has also served on various boards, including the Better Sleep Council. She has been cited as being in the top 5% of digital media influencers online today, Passaglia noted.
