APM Terminals Bahrain, operators of the state-of-the-art Khalifa Bin Salman Port (KBSP), joined the 'Go Green' international campaign which was launched by leading international marine port terminal operators.
'Go Green' is the first ever joint environmental initiative launched by DP World, APM Terminals, Hutchison Port Holding Limited (HPH), PSA International and Shanghai International Port Group and Port of Rotterdam Authority .
As part of the campaign, APM Terminals Bahrain organised a range of activities which were in keeping with the global initiative, which focuses on three main themes: re-use and recycling, climate change and the generating awareness in the local communities in the country in which it operates.
The campaign was held from September 14 to 21 to highlight environmental awareness and make a sustainable difference to the community in Bahrain.
Majed Al Khan is new CEO of Gulf Holding company
Gulf Holding Company (GHC), developers of the Villamar project, has announced the appointment of Majed Al Khan as CEO of the company and the head of the Villamar development.
Al Khan joins GHC with more than 15 years of experience in real estate sector, project development and investments. Previously he was deputy CEO and head of investments in Al Khaleej Development Company, the Bahraini real estate investment company.
Other roles include head of investments at CAPIVEST, a financial institution which largely specialiaed in local, regional and international real estate investing and development. Additionally, he served as a board member in several leading real estate development and private equity companies.
Gulf Air, Euro Motors sign agreement
Gulf Air, the Kingdom of Bahrain's national carrier, has partnered with Euro Motors to offer "Intaleq" loyalty card members a new way to enjoy their earned Klicks with the ability to redeem them for FalconFlyer miles and gain a number of member benefits and privileges with Gulf Air's loyalty programme.
The partnership agreement was signed earlier this month by Ahmed Janahi, Gulf Air, chief commercial officer and Paul Yates, general manager of Euro Motors at the national carrier's head office in Muharraq.
Commenting on the agreement he said: "We are delighted to partner with Euro Motors and offer their customers the opportunity to enjoy the distinctive privileges and services offered by Gulf Air's FalconFlyer programme. We truly look forward to working closely with Euro Motors and building a mutually rewarding, long-term partnership."
"Intaleq" is Euro Motor's Loyalty programme exclusively designed for valued customers. This unique programme allows customers to earn Klicks and tailored benefits to make their motoring experience an enjoyable and rewarding one.
Bapco's stand opened at City Centre Bahrain
The Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco) chairman of the board, Shaikh Mohamed bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, opened on Friday Bapco's stand at City Centre Bahrain.
Present at the opening ceremony were a number of board members and officials of Bapco.
The stand received large numbers of the public who visited the various sections of the stand, including sections of the dental health, obesity, ergonomics, hand safety, road safety, sustainable energy and others.
Bapco plans to hold health and safety week from October 4 to 10 with the aim of spreading safety culture and enhancing safety awareness not only in workplaces but also throughout the communty.
