First Round of Winners for Asian Academy Creative Awards

The winners for the first batch of 20 categories at the Asian Academy Creative Awards were announced at a ceremony at Singapore’s Victoria Theatre tonight, with first-ever trophies for Myanmar and Vietnam.

Lamput from India picked up the best animated series award, while best children’s went to The Cul De Sac from New Zealand and best preschool to Australia’s Hiccup & Sneeze.

Mediacorp’s Undercover Asia won for best current affairs. Australia’s The Final Quarter took the best documentary (one-off) award, with best doc series going to Extreme China.

The award for best streaming/OTT original went to Netflix India’s Delhi Crime. For best single drama/TV movie, the winner was An Artist of the Floating World from Japan.

The grand finals of the award take place Friday night in Singapore.
