Person Trapped Inside Vehicle In Crash; Heavy Rescue Needed: FD
The crash happened in Shoreham Monday morning, police say.
SHOREHAM, NY — A person was trapped inside a vehicle after a crash in Shoreham Monday morning, fire officials said.
According to Wading River Fire Department Chief Branden Heller, the crash took place at 7:10 a.m. on Rt. 25A and Defense Hill Rd. Fire rescue personnel, he said, "rapidly extricated" a person by utilizing hydraulic tools.
Several other people in the vehicle were treated and transported by Wading River Fire Dept. Ambulances to local hospitals, Heller said.
