Ronnie Ortiz-Magro Details His Struggles With Alcoholism And Depression: 'I'm Fed Up'

Ronnie Ortiz-Magro

Ronnie Ortiz-Magro is sharing more details about his struggles with alcoholism and depression.
As you know, the Jersey Shore star recently revealed that he spent the last month in rehab seeking treatment for his alcohol abuse and the surrounding family drama that it’s caused.

The reality TV star tells Us Weekly that his on-screen family has been nothing but supportive while he continues to work on himself:

MTV, 495 Productions and [Jersey Shore creator] SallyAnn Salsano were all so supportive. Some stuff happened and [Sally] called me and said, ‘They’re fed up.’ I was like, ‘I’m fed up. I’m at my point where I can’t take it anymore.’ I just had to surrender and say, ‘I don’t have control over this.’ I don’t know who I am anymore. I don’t know what to do.”

The 33-year-old previously told the outlet that after days of drinking until he was “numb,” Ronnie realized that he had “hit rock bottom.”  That’s when he decided to enter HeadWaters at Origins holistic treatment center in West Palm Beach, Florida to get real help.

Considering the wild year of non-stop drama that the MTV personality has had with his baby momma Jen Harley, we can agree with him that something desperately needed to change.
The 33-year-old admits that the real driving force behind his road to consistent good health and happiness is, and always will be, his daughter Ariana:

“I couldn’t live hurting myself, basically having my daughter grow up and it’s eventually going to hurt her. I was in a place of depression, and with depression I turned to alcohol … I was sitting there blaming everything else; I was like the victim, and I’m not a victim to life. I’m blessed and I’m lucky enough that I have different options, different outlets.”

Take all of the time, resources and help that you need, Ron. We are rooting for you!
