Bahraini police forces have detained more than 200 children across the Persian Gulf nation during raids on their homes and over the past year, the country’s main opposition group said.
In a Thursday report titled “Bahrain: Repression - The Shadow of Tyranny,” Bahrain’s Al-Wefaq National Islamic Society listed the human rights violations committed by the Manama regime in the course of 2013.

According to the nearly 130-page report, Bahraini regime forces detained 214 children last year, with most of them being detained during raids on their houses. A number of other children were also taken from their schools, the report added.

The report, drafted by Al-Wefaq’s Liberties and Human Rights Department (LHRD), further said the Bahraini regime made 7,342 arbitrary arrests between 2011 and 2013. It also highlighted the demolition of religious structures in the Persian Gulf country as well as Manama’s restrictions on religious freedom.

“The human rights situation in Bahrain has reached dangerous levels,” said Sayed Hadi al-Musawi, the LHRD head, adding, “Bahraini citizens are exposed to different forms of violations…, including killing, torture and arrest.”

The LHRD official further criticized the international community for remaining silent in the face of the Manama regime’s numerous human rights violations, saying that the world “is standing on the sidelines and watching as the atrocious human rights abuses continue in broad day light.”

Over the past years, the Manama regime’s human rights record has come under scrutiny over its handling of the peaceful protests across the Persian Gulf country.

Since mid-February 2011, thousands of anti-regime protesters have held numerous demonstrations in the streets of Bahrain, calling for the Al Khalifa family to relinquish power.

Scores of people have been killed and hundreds of others injured in the Manama regime’s heavy-handed crackdown on peaceful demonstrations.

That's not good, do you have other sources though? Children should be kept out of this.

U really want to believe them with their sauces, my own friends brother who works in the police has more then half of his batch serving time in jail, police that is I am talking about. For fighting back when they have these goons throwing deadly cocktails at them. The police cant fight back, and they claim that they are picking up children. U should know better bro, have u not seen enough of their lies in Syria already.

One should ask wefaq why were they throwing petrol bombs at the police!
They like to call it peaceful demonstrations. I have pointed that out so many times, if these retards were in the free democratic west, u know what the cops there do before the first bottle leaves the hand of the tosser. A bullet between the eyes.

I am so tired, didnt read all of ur post properly, so the answer to the second part of ur question of why I dont work for the Bahraini police, well for once I have an eye condition that dont allow me to. And secondly if I could I would have killed some of them. Cause aint no one tossing shit at me and gona live to see me burn. lol

so in Syria it is halal, but in Bahrain it is Haram? Bahrain is the only peaceful protests in the Arab region, in Syria terrorists bomb and execute people, so throwing a rock a or burning tire is nothing..
What the Syrian govt has done to it's own civilians is nothing less then a genocide. In Bahrain, people have been arrested not slaughtered!!

Do not derail the thread.

The Syrian government has only protected the civilians from those terrorists who kill and slaughter civilians... they kill them and sometimes video them to blame the government... why would Syrians vote for someone who kills them??

the thread was already derailed when your friend mentioned Syria..
