Following a landmark $53 million nursing home COVID-19 settlement with New Jersey, some late-filing claimants are encountering resistance from the state.

After the state agreed last December to a landmark settlement over 119 coronavirus cases in veterans’ homes in Paramus and Menlo Park, the families of an additional 69 residents who died of COVID-19 in the two facilities have filed claims notices.
