IT IN THE SPRING. THE 34TH ANNUAL MISSISSIPPI WILDLIFE EXTRAVAGANZA IS COMING BACK THIS YEAR, BUT THIS YEAR'’ LOCATION WILL NOT BE IN JACKSON. THE EVENT IS MOVING TO FLOWOOD AT THE REFUGE. SPORTS AND CONFERENCE CENTER OVERNIGHRSTE SAY THEY MOVED BECAUSE THEIR LEASE AT THE TRADEMARK WAS NOT RENEWED. ORIGINALLY, OUR LEASE WAS NOT RENEWED AND WE WERE NOT ALLOWED TO G BACK TO THE TRADEMARK. The 34th annual Mississippi Wildlife Extravaganza is back this weekend, but it’s not being held in Jackson.The show that draws hunters, fishermen and outdoorsmen from all around will be held Friday through Sunday at the Refuge Resort and Conference Center in Flowood. Ashlee Smith, with the Mississippi Wildlife Federation, said their lease at the Trade Mart was not renewed.“Originally, our lease was not renewed and we were not allowed to go back to the Trade Mart, and so we had to find another venue,” Smith said. “We think it’s going to end up working out for the best.
