The owners of the Peach Cobbler Factory — a popular dessert food truck and vendor at local farmers markets — are opening a hot chicken-focused restaurant in Murfreesboro this October called Pepper + Peach Hot Chicken.

According to social media posts on Sunday, Pepper + Peach is the owners’ “love letter to Nashville” — opening at 1824 Old Fort Parkway in Murfreesboro sometime this October. The new restaurant blends their seven-year cobbler endeavors with a new pursuit towards creating the fiery fowl now synonymous with Music City.

This is the second opening in Rutherford Country from Pepper + Peach owners Juan Edgerton and Tami Lenore — they opened a second fixed Peach Cobbler Factory location in Smyrna earlier this summer. The first fixed location lives in South Nashville on Nolensville Road. The couple first opened the popular food truck seven years ago where they grew a quick following from peddling their peach cobblers at the Nashville Farmers Market.

The new hot chicken and cobbler spot features local art inside, plus hand-painted wall art outside from local mural artist Fernando. A chicken mascot named Pepper tops the logo on the building that formerly housed Uncle Bud’s Catfish (which closed in June).
