The Fantastic Four – Another great visit with Mackay Parkinsons Support Group

There’s always one in every group

This is the (fantastic) fourth occasion that I have been lucky enough to have been invited to speak with members of the Mackay Parkinsons Support group at the North Mackay Bowls Club.

We are all starting to get to know each other pretty well which is evidenced in the image above.

Frank thought it was pretty amusing to give me “bunny ears” in this picture 🙂

I thought it was pretty amusing when I offered to put sugar in his coffee and gave him two teaspoons of salt instead.

Once we got some mischief out of our systems it was all business however.

The group is always very keen to hear about the latest crime trends, learn about how our burglars and car thieves are operating and what they can do to make the thieves lives as difficult as possible.

As one attendee put it “How good is it knowing that you can cause thieves frustration instead of the other way around?”

Fortunately for this presentation, I was well prepared and had plenty of giveaway crime prevention material linked to burglaries and car thefts, as well as scams, identity crime, phone scams etc etc. At the end of the talk I had not one thing left to bring back to the office which is always very satisfying.

It is a great feeling when you receive annual invites to return and speak with the same group of people – many thanks to the Mackay Parkinsons Support Group.

I am hoping that each of you took something away from today’s talk.

Looking forward to speaking with you again in the future also.
