JLL said Monday it completed a 30,000-square-foot lease expansion and extension with OwnBackup Ltd. at 940 Sylvan Ave. in Englewood Cliffs on behalf of property owner Andalex.

The market-leading, cloud-based data backup and restore provider – a tenant at the property since 2018 – will expand and extend its lease, doubling its footprint to occupy the entire 60,000-square-foot Class-A office building within the Sylvan Corporate Center.

Andalex is represented by JLL Executive Managing Director Frank Recine and Associate Nicolas DeCotiis. OwnBackup was represented by Senior Managing Director Jason Fray and Senior Vice President Harlan Hollander, both with Savills Studley.

“Sylvan Corporate Center is an ideal location for companies seeking Manhattan-quality, Class-A office space located minutes outside of New York City,” Recine said. “This office complex, in the heart of Englewood Cliff’s famed ‘Trillion-Dollar Mile,’ provides the perfect environment for OwnBackup as it continues to expand its client base in the Tri-State area.”

OwnBackup, which previously occupied the full first floor of 940 Sylvan Ave., will now also occupy the 30,000-square-foot second floor.

The Sylvan Corporate Center property is located near the intersection of Sage Road and Sylvan Avenue/Route 9 West. The 300,000-square-foot complex also includes 910, 920, 930 and 940 Sylvan Ave. The center is made up of four two-story office buildings offering Class-A space linked by a central lobby. The office destination offers on-site food service, covered parking, private parking and on-site management, as well as state-of-the-art telecommunications infrastructure and ample open space to accommodate outdoor employee collaboration and client meetings.

Sylvan Corporate Center is located off the first exit on the Palisades Parkway, is 3 miles north of the George Washington Bridge and in close proximity to Interstates 80 and 95; Routes 4, 46, 1 and 9; and the Garden State Parkway.
