Given that it's where we are spending most of our time, it was only a matter of time before our collective thoughts turned to the state of our houses. They've become our classrooms, offices, playgrounds and centre of our social universes, so it's natural to feel like the walls might be closing in on us.

Social media is stuffed with selfies of people finally getting around to that declutter or the DIY job they've long promised to do. If there was ever a time to optimise your living space, it's now. You have the time and you need the space. But now that DIY stores are closing and we can't donate our pre-loved items to charity shops for now, surely a revamp project has its limits?
