Cinemark opens “NextGen” cinema in Cincinnati

Movie theater owner Cinemark Holdings Inc. opened a new 14-screen, all-digital theater in Cincinnati on Friday.

The new Cinemark Oakley Station and XD theater at 3025 Disney Street in Cincinnati features the company’s new “NextGen” cinema design concept, company officials said.

The theater features large, wall-to-wall and floor-to-ceiling screens, enhanced sound systems and digital presentation in every auditorium, as well as a large-format Cinemark XD: Extreme Digital Cinema auditorium. In addition, seven of the auditoriums are RealD 3-D capable.

The Cinemark Oakley Station is the company’s first complex to be constructed in the Cincinnati market, officials said.

Cinemark operates theaters in Beavercreek, Huber Heights, Piqua and West Carrollton.
