ALAMEDA COUNTY, CA — The latest developments around the region related to the novel coronavirus, also known as COVID-19, as of Tuesday afternoon include: Recreational boaters were able to get back out on the water Tuesday when launch ramps reopened for them at Moss Landing and Monterey Harbor. The ramps reopened at 5 a.m., provided boaters obey health orders and harbor regulations.

U.S. President Donald Trump tweeted on Tuesday morning that the Bay Area will receive more than $700 million in federal funding. According to the tweet, the funds will be used to support continued operations and workers at San Francisco International Airport, as well as transit services like BART and Muni amid the novel coronavirus pandemic.

Undocumented households in the Bay Area can receive up to $1,000 from the state of California for relief from the coronavirus, according to the California Department of Social Services. An individual is eligible for up to $500 and each household $1,000 provided they are ineligible for other forms of assistance, including the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act and pandemic unemployment benefits, due to their immigration status.
