When Patricia Joyce, 84, tested positive for coronavirus, her family's visits to her room at St. Joseph Manor in Brockton, Massachusetts, were put on halt. She was relocated to the nursing home's designated COVID-19 unit and could only interact with her many children and grandchildren through a window that had to stay closed.
