Bahrain Airport Company Supports National Initiatives

In line with its commitment to support national initiatives, Bahrain Airport Company (BAC), the managing body and operator of Bahrain International Airport (BIA), was the events partner of the largest nationwide event in the Kingdom, ‘Shop Bahrain’.

As part of BAC’s partnership, a ‘Shop Bahrain’ kiosk was installed at the airport’s arrivals area which was set through the duration of the festival to familiarize visitors coming to Bahrain about the special deals that were offered and provide them with  information about the events and activities held during the festival.

Commenting on the Partnership, Mohamed Khalil, Chief Commercial Officer at Bahrain Airport Company, “Bahrain International Airport has witnessed an increase in the number of visitors who visited during Shop Bahrain’s unique 30-day celebration. The recorded passenger movement rose to 14.30% in comparison to same time last year.” 

‘Shop Bahrain’ Project Director also commented saying: “The increase in the passenger movement compared to last year reflects our efforts when it came to promoting Bahrain as a welcoming family and touristic destination. Bahrain Airport Company is considered as the Kingdom’s gateway therefore, we ensured to work together with BAC on welcoming passengers during ‘Shop Bahrain’ and provide them with the opportunity to join the Kingdom’s largest celebration.”

‘Shop Bahrain’ was a unique 30-day celebration held until the 23rd January, 2016. The event aimed to provide shoppers with a distinctive shopping experience filled with special offers and entertainment that suited the entire family, in addition to the chance of winning valuable prizes.
