New COVID-19 cases in Wisconsin over 900, only 1 death

State health officials said there was an increase of 922 new COVID-19 cases Sunday, bringing the state total to almost 55,000 confirmed positive cases.

Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) reported 9.6% of COVID-19 tests came back positive, which is up 2.5% from Saturday.

DHS said recovery percentage is still around 80%. The Department added there are still almost 10,000 currently active cases across the state.

Another 36 people were hospitalized with the virus, bringing the state total to 4,717 people.

Only one death was reported Sunday. The state total sits just under 950 people who have died in relation to the novel coronavirus.
